When: Saturday May 16, 2020
What: A virtual convention for spec-fic creatives.
- Spec Community Panel Participant: the members of our podcast Semi-Sages of the Pages talk about how community unleashes creativity. Join the discussion about how our passion for speculative fiction allows us to escape the challenges of everyday life. Podcasting, personality, and perspective, let’s unleash the keys to productivity!
- Character Sheet to Build Your Writing Skillset Workshop with the Semi-Sages of the Pages: Using a writer-based character sheet, (like one would find in a role playing game such as Dungeons and Dragons), take participants through the self-reflexive activity of understanding who they are as authors. Participants will leave with an understanding of their strengths and weaknesses as well as growth strategies.
- Demystifying Self-Publishing Panel Moderator: As a panelist alongside Catherine Lundoff, S. Faxon discussed how without a publisher or agent to help lead the way, the path to publication is long and winding, but hope is on the horizon! The panelists discussed the stories of authors who have been through the process talk about the things they’ve learned and wished they knew at the beginning of their journeys.
